Tree crown work
Is the crown of your tree blocking the sun from your garden?
Crown thinning
If you would like to leave the overall size of the tree as it is but would like to allow more light through we would suggest crown thinning. Crown thinning like crown reduction is a similar process of removing selected branches (usually dead, weak, overlapping and duplicated branches) from the tree crown to improve the balance and structure of the tree. Crown thinning lets more light through the branches and ‘lightens’ the tree making it appear less dense. This process increases airflow and light within the canopy which helps maintain a healthy tree.
We offer a range of services that can help improve the structure of your tree
Based in Bognor Regis but serving throughout Littlehampton and Chichester, Greenbelt Tree Surgery Specialists can help. We offer a range of services that can help improve the structure of your tree including crown thinning and crown lifting. If your tree crown is overgrown we can perform a complete crown reduction, we keep the natural balance and shape of the tree whilst reducing the overall volume and visible size of the tree. Why stop there? We offer hedge trimming and reduction services to complete your garden.
Crown Lifting
If you would like more clearance between the base of the tree and the crown then Greenbelt Tree Surgery Specialists can lift the crown. Crown lifting is a great way of creating more usable space in your garden, we remove the lower branches of the tree which if possible should be carried out before the tree reaches maturity to prevent any large wounds.
