Frequently Asked Question’s
Have a question? Our Frequently Asked Questions section is here to help you find the information you need quickly and easily. We have answered some of the most common queries about our services, process and what to expect, giving you clear guidance before getting in touch. If you cannot find the answer you are looking for, please feel free to contact our friendly team.
Do I take away all the waste?
I will include the removal of waste in your quotation, unless you wish to keep it for your use. I chip the wood on site, which can be used in the garden if you would like. Some wood may be suitable for burning domestically but needs to be stored to dry out. If this is something you would be interested in we can discuss during the quotation.
Will the work affect my neighbours?
If your tree overhangs your neighbour it is a good idea to speak to them and have their written or verbal agreement that I may go onto their land if absolutely necessary and also make them aware there will be some noise. I endeavour to keep the noise to a minimum, but it is inevitable that there will be some inconvenience.
Will my lawn be damaged?
It is unavoidable that some damage may occur especially when clearing up and dragging branches. I have cushion mats which I use to protect the surface which could be at risk.
Do I need permission from the Local Council?
I can check for you if your trees are covered by the Tree Preservation Order and if this is the case, an application will be required to carry out work any tree work. An application to the Local Planning Department can take up to 6-8 weeks to go through.
Should I move garden furniture and ornament?
It is a good idea to move items that are in the immediate vicinity of the work being carried out and I will always assist with any clearing of the area.
When do I pay?
Payment is due when the work is completed to your satisfaction, and I am happy to supply a receipt on site.
